Device Identifier

When you install Bible Solace, we generate a random, anonymous identifier (Install ID) stored on your device. This identifier:

  • Is not linked to your personal identity
  • Cannot be used to identify you personally
  • Is used solely to maintain your preferences and history within the App
  • Is reset if you reinstall the App

Usage Data

We collect the following usage data associated with your Install ID:

  • History: Records of verses delivered to you through daily check-ins
  • Bookmarks: Verses you have saved for later reference
  • Preferences: Your selected Bible translation
  • Platform: Whether you use iOS or Android
  • Timezone: Used to deliver notifications at your local time

Emotional Input

When you use the daily check-in feature, you may select emotional cards and optionally provide text describing how you feel. We do not store this emotional input on our servers. It is used only to select an appropriate verse for you in that moment and is not retained after the verse is delivered.

Push Notification Token

If you enable notifications, we store your device's push notification token to send you daily verse notifications. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

  • Your name, email address, or contact information
  • Your location (beyond timezone)
  • Your contacts or address book
  • Photos, files, or other device content
  • Browsing history outside the App
  • Any data that could personally identify you

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Deliver personalized Bible verses based on your emotional state
  • Maintain your verse history and bookmarks
  • Remember your preferred Bible translation
  • Send daily notifications at your local time (if enabled)

We retain your data for as long as you use the App. Your data is associated only with your Install ID, which is reset if you uninstall and reinstall the App. This effectively deletes your history and starts fresh.

Subscription information may be retained longer as required for financial and legal compliance.

  • Delete: Clear your history through the App settings, or reinstall the App to reset all data

Bible Solace is designed for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App does not require registration or personal details, it can be used safely by users of any age with parental guidance.

Our servers may be located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to our servers, which are protected by appropriate security measures.
